10,0000 Lakes Festival, summer 2008

*This is one of the less-explicit shots. I just happend to be in front at the time...

*Great experience as a photographer, more so than a festival-goer. The music was great and the atmosphere was even better. Camping, grilling out and drinking beer all go so well together, especially when your surrounded by 5000 other people doing the same thing. Next time I cover a festival though I'd rather go by myself. This way I wouldn't worry about what my friends were doing.

Naval ROTC training, October 2008.

*Not that fun to shoot, only took about 45-50 frames.

Obama Rally in Omaha, November 2008

* I liked Hilary a lot more in person. My first political news assignment. Everyone was sure fired up. This was also in November 2008.

Husker Football 2008

* This was taken right before the personal foul call on Pelini, which led to another first down for VT and then a touchdown.
*Quarterback Joe Ganz after he threw an interception in the final minutes of the game.

*I have shot only two Husker Football games. The feature photos are from my first exposure when they played Virginia Tech. The action shots are from the Kansas game. It's amazing how much you learn after just one game.

gem from the summer DN session

*This is an old one from the summer that I liked. I found out that I was lucky to be where I was on assignment.

Fun light

* The Meat Puppets did put on a killer opening set despite sound difficulties after their third song.

*I have a suspicion that Scott knows how to work the cameras during a performance.

*This was a great show by the Stone Temple Pilots that took place in late November, 2008. This concert really helped me adjust to abnormal, rapid changes in light, with the backlit screen and the solo-rotating lights, all extremely expensive and fun to shoot.
